fire is moving away from me

A moment ago for some reason I felt like checking what would happen if I put fire close to my body. when I did the fire started to move away instead of touching my hand. I let it stay there for a moment and it still moved away, I repeated this with same result. During last spring break I worked and we were burning leaves, branches and stuff. When we did this I got to close to the fire and my face got covered in fire for a short moment, but I was unharmed(my hair got burnt) those this things stick to gather. I know that you can move your body through fire but I had it cowered for much longer then that.
