does black deflect negative energies/people?

well i realized black must have protective properties if black obsidian absorbs negative energies and even removes them from the environment. also black tourmaline is good for grounding and pretty much does the same thing also- protects. well i have a black tourmaline pendant that i need to get a chain for...i was thinkign of surrounding my aura with black protective energy charged with algiz rune anytime i come into contact wit negative entities and negative people esp who would drain my energies...and deflect it onto them..
Is this sound good?

No, although these stones are protective, black is the opposite, it's for absorbing and not deflecting. Read its color info on JoS. Black absorbs any energy, both positive and negative. For protection of course you use white-gold, it repels and deflects.

I think you sort answered your own question. but yes it'll protect you from negative energies but I wouldn't go and program it into your aura. Remember the "other" Satanism. They thought cleaning themselves with black energy was "cool". Just have it with you but I wouldn't fill your aura with it. :3

to me its absence of coherence,order,harmony,not the right words,but those the closest i can describe it,to me it the division of colour/white,like a rainbow iss the division of sun light.well i guess how color feel to one does differ.the best way is to perform color meditation to figure this one out for oneself.

when i read the JOS link for colours and their properties it said black is best when applied to others...and am targetting generally draining people/ psychic vampires, people who are and will give me unnecessary burden; as i have come across such people many times in my life and i want to learn to repel them but somehow i don't think white will do the job very well, and am not programming the black into my aura, i was programming my aura to give out the black to target those people...and i was wondering if it was safe thats all because i'm obviously attracted to the colour black but it's also associated with negativity but this time it's also charged with the algiz rune...can you mix black with any colours like silver or blue as well..?? or gold or even red?? when it comes to protection?
