We in India sometimes worship a goddess known as "Kali". (Hindus are polytheic) She is depicted as a fearsome black goddess with 4 hands holding the severed heads of humans. She is a major goddess. But I question the worship and think it blasphemous because:1) We is not fair and does appear to be nordic.2) Animals were often sacrificed, and till today people sacrifice GOATS(sacred of satan) to her.3) And lastly, her tongue is out(a possible gesture of shame) for is TREADING ON SHIVA(a name of satan).
Again Shiva is often worshipped, not through images/sigils but through shivalingas (Pls google for further info) and people worship it. I wonder if it really satisfies Satan or not.
AND,
Recenty I came across a documentary on a temple in kerala known as The Padmanabhaswamy temple. This particular temple has a particular wall that is bordered by two serpent statues. Legend says that this was sealed by a mantra known as the "Ashtanaga" Vandana Mantra(Prayer to the 8 serpents). People who have gone near this vault have often experienced weird feelings, convulsions and sometimes very bad luck. Can any one of you find out what possibly lies within? I ask so because of the above legend and because the god Vishnu is often depicted as a deity reclining on a thousand headed serpent (Adi-Ananta-Sesha)(Past-present-future). Besides the first sangam(congregation) where these verses were written was said to have been atended by "Gods and Legendary Sages". Just for Curiosities' sake....
