Hello fellow brothers and sisters,
I have 2 questions about the comparison of Greek and Norse Interpretations.
For a little context, before I made my dedication (At the time we were still JoS) I classified myself as a follower of the Norse Gods. This was of course after I left the xian church after many horrible things happened.
1. My interpretation has always been that Odin is the father to all Gods which would make Thor his descendant. Right? On the updated section of the ToZ website about the many names Father has gone by over the years I see Odin and Thor. So how does this work? When I originally made my dedication there was also Satan and Beelzebul but upon further reading I now see they are the same…(Correct me if I’m wrong) I also feel this might be about consciousness? Like he is in one place and consciousness elsewhere? I am just a little confused on how this works if someone could explain to me what it is I’m not understanding. I am very intrigued and also understand that somethings just aren’t as easily fathomed as others.
2. I understand we can call upon Father by any of his names whether that being Satan/Zeus/Thor etc.. and me being more familiar with the Norse side of things is it necessary to practice only by using the name of Thor, or can I call upon the other Gods as well. In the Elder Futhark there are many runes to call upon when going through certain things or other Gods even, Freyja, Loki, Tyr etc. all having something different to offer. Is it necessary to call upon them when my situation aligns with that in which they specialize? Or should I be weary of this due to some of the corruption throughout the years onto mainstream reading? I definitely do not want Father to believe I am seeking any outside counsel per se or to think he is not my priority. I am curious would this be like calling upon certain demons?
Thank you for all your answers in advance!
