If you do a multi-day runic working, you should do the vibrations every day for 40 days. Doing a magickal working for 40 days makes it permanent. Stopping before 40 days will give temporary benefits, but the effects will fade with time.

Magick needs to be timed with astrology. Starting a spell during sub-optimal astrological conditions can cause the spell to be severely weakened or fail. A spell should be started during the day and hour of the planet that rules the particular working. For example, the sun, Venus, and Jupiter rule money and wealth. You would want to start a money spell on Thursday (the day of Jupiter), Friday (the day of Venus), or Sunday (the day of the sun) during the hours of Jupiter, the sun, or Venus. The moon sign at the time you start a spell should also be good for the magickal working you are doing. For a money spell, the moon should be waxing in Taurus, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, or Aquarius. You can continue the working even if the moon goes void, but you should not start a magickal working when the moon is void. For example, if you started a magickal working on Saturday the moon should not be void when you started the working. At the simplest, a Satanic rosary is 108 beads on a string as 108 is a power number. Every time you do a vibration, you slide one bead over so you do not have to focus on keeping count. You can also use your fingers to keep count. Here is a method of keeping count using your fingers originally posted by Fire2U on the Joy of Satan forums:
"To help you to keep-up with the count, find a way, practice it and familiarize yourself with it.
I use my fingers and finger-pads. There are 3 pads on each finger.
I use my thumb to press the 1st pad of my little finger for one count, 2nd pad of little finger for 2 counts, 3rd pad of my little finger for 3 counts.
Then i'll switch my thumb to press my ring finger's 1st pad for the 4th count and so on.
-I find using fingers to be very easy esp to count 108.
