You'll here about "spell candles" which are chime candles. There sort of like over sized birthday cake candles and are called "spell candles" because they can be used and discarded which is preferred for spells. They are typically 1/2" dia x 4" L or less. Forget about those for now. A chime is a wheel with shapes and figures cut out of it. It's spun around slowly and so you can see shapes and stuff on the walls. They used to mount very small candles on those things, hence the name "chime" candles.
The Dedication Ritual calls for candles, but you don't need them to meditate i.e. you can use any blue or red ones you can find for the ritual as long as they don't stink or have some weird odor. Most people evidently, prefer to meditate with candles. You need to often fixate on something and fire is easy to fixate on. I didn't know why everybody liked it so much until I tried it, and found that its great, and always meditate with candles now. You need some meditation candles...
I ordered 8 of these last time, but you can order just 1 to try it out. They last weeks. The company does a good job, with packaging and everything. Everybody that works there is on board so to speak.
You'll be hard pressed to find black candles because xians consider them to be evil and pedophilia to be good. I don't understand the correlation either. I think they see young boys lighting white candles and black candles makes them think of a young boy beating the crap out of them. I'm not sure on that.

Don't start meditating too long though until you are on board and dedicated. The enemy likes to do things to scare the crap out of you when you are not under Satan's watchful eye so to speak. Not like in a scary movie either - much worse.
