Anyone have experience with childbirth?

Childbirth, meditations combined - how did it go for you? Do you think what you did made a difference in how it went? I feel like a lot of it is really strongly astrologically influenced and there's only so much I could do or should do, maybe it's not true. But with someone who will be having saturn directly opposite to ic it's a little concerning..
