Everyday Father Satan is on my mind. So is Astaroth. From time to time other demons come into my mind and maybe stay for a couple days or so. About a week ago, the name Andras came to my mind. I had no idea who this was or what it meant. I think it was the next day I was reading something (can't remember where) and saw the name. So then I decided to look on the JoS. There I saw he is one of the demons so now it made sense.

Yesterday morning while getting dressed in the morning I heard something bump against the house and looked out the window. There was a bird on the tree limb so I started talking to it. You know that cutesy stuff you talk to dogs. I said, "Hey there birdie, good morning". I noticed he looked different to me so I said, " Turn around so I can see your pretty feathers". AND HE DID!!!! I was like WTF!!! I was laughing so hard, I couldn't believe it. His feathers were black and white striped. After I stopped laughing it occurred to me that I'd just read something about black and striped. So I went back to the JoS and there it was - HP Maxine's description of Andras.

You can fit everything I know about birds on a toothpick. I know birds fly and, um, let's see. Oh yeah, birds fly.

Then I started wondering if this is a sign from him. I'm so afraid of being gullible and trying to decide between the two camps as to whether there are coincidences or not. Andras has remained in my thoughts. I started to wonder if he is my GD.

Unlike, many newbies I was never in a rush to find out who my GD is. I trusted that when the time was right he or she would come to me and I would know. Besides that, not being astrally open I didn't see the point in obsessing about it. I just focused all my attention on Father Satan and meditation. I've started to have experiences of starting to open astrally but they are here and there. Again, I'm not obsessed about it. I know with consistent work it will come.

Just wanted to share this with the family and welcome any thoughts.

Very interesting Celina,I do believe Father can speak to us through omens like that.He speaks to us through Astrology,and other scientific ways, so why not.You might want to do a ritual to Andas,and He can show you in some way.When I started questioning if my GD was Haagenti,she confirmed it in so many way,in the in the following months.So I did a ritual,and again,she showed me in that too.So just ask if it is,and you will get the answer,I am sure of it.Hail SatanBrian

No, Andras is friendly to dedicated Satanists, like all Goetic Gods. It's outsiders who's trying to abuse him with 9 foot triangles and circles and things like that that meet with negative experiences. If by precautions you mean circles and other insulting crap like that then DON'T USE THEM, as these are guaranteed to make the Gods angry, they HATE those things.

A guideline is you should always treat the Gods with respect and try to build win-win relationships with them in which you both help and care for eachother. It's those who try to exploit them for their own personal gain that get the most problems, which includes 99% of outsiders. I haven't really seen somebody who treated them with respect have any problems with Them.

A better way to think of Them is as friends or even better parts of your family. Treat the exactly the way you would treat another family member, honoring Them, thanking Them, offering to help Them e.t.c.

Obviously if you tell them "now shut up and do what I say" of course it'll piss them off as they're also very proud. Not only will it piss them off, but it'll piss me and other dedicated Satanists off as we love our Gods and we hate to see them being abused and exploited. I get usually angry if somebody disrespects our Gods, they are our family and protectors of humanity.

Above all, you didn't clarify if you're a dedicated Spiritual Satanist and have been practicing power meditations every day These are important, if you're not dedicated and not interested in the empowerment and transformation of your soul it's not recommended to try to summon any God.

What do you want to know? Personal experience with Him or what? Other than what is on the Joy Of Satan website you likely will find a lot of bullshit elsewhere as with all the Gods of Hell. It is best to get to know Them yourself.
They may not show the same parts to Themselves to everyone. I can tell you He is very unique and misunderstood by many words are simply not enough to describe Him. Aproach Him with great respect and no fear and be honest with what you want to ask Him.

He has a lot to teach but will not waste His time on just anyone. I don't personally summon Him. I had an urge to draw Him one night and He came to me Himself. He has a fun humourus side but also a very deep and serious side. He gave me a lot of confidence to stand up for myself and to not fear anybody. Nature is very important to Him, wild nature, wild animals, powerfull animals animals and people who are also misunderstood.
I felt that He has much anger and frustration the way Humans fear and persecute the powerfull and want to tame what is wild. To destroy and tame down and remove the wildness inside a being to stop it and change it into something 'safe' and this is not natural or possible. Nature will fight back against this. Do you understand? He is a real warrior who understands the Soul of nature, of animals and of Us. Raw power, untamed, pure doing what it is meant to. Thats what He showed me. the enemy fears that deep raw pure natural power inside Us and created a terrible fear of it in people. He embraces it and shows Us to face all the parts of ourselves the light and the dark, the anger and rage and how to use it not be in fear or controlled by it.

Does anyone have experience asking andras to deal with your enemy, how hard does he kick the ass of the person. I summoned him and I am not sure if he heard me. The person was complaining that some stranger was inside her building and was knocking in her appartment asking for money. could that be it, or it´s just a start, does it get ugly

I am so fascinated by and attracted to Him. I always get so excited to see anything about Him. I painted his portrait. He and His Hellhound. I had a very close encounter with a wolf as a young person, we were face to face on opposite sides of a fence out in the mountains. He wasn't threatening or anything, he appeared to be as fascinated with me as I was with him. I could have reached out and touched him, he was so close. We just stared into each others eyes. It was magic. I have always had a special connection with animals.

Andras's portrait is five feet by six feet or so on canvas. It hangs in a place of honor on my wall at home. I have not tried to formally summon Him or anyone else, I am quite new just doing my yoga, meditation, SW and trying to advance. But in the deep night when I am making art at like 4:00 AM I talk to Him sometimes, like he's right there and my best friend. And I feel warmth. I've had some laughs too that I felt I shared with Him. Specifically when I was painting Him, He pointed something out that cracked me up laughing. Yes, He is amazing! I feel I love Him. I think he might be/could be/hope he is my GD.

Before I want to fully become a member of Joy of satan, I have a question about Andras.

Before I found Joy of Satan, I dreamed about a man an he said, his name is Andras. He saved me from someone with black hair, who made me mentally sick through my dreams.
And in my second dream, Andras was standing there, it was night and we were on an other planet and behind him was a big magical seeming tree. I had the feeling I knew him from a long time ago.

Months after these dreams, I found the site Joy of Satan. Andras was like in the description about him and I was perplexed, that he is really existing.

My questions: Is it possible I know him from an other life? And can demons appear in your dreams and communicate with you? Is Andras my guardian demon?

Sorry for this odd question, I hope, someone can help me..because I have to think about him/the dreams for a long time. Thank you, Ananke

It is definitely possible that you may have known Andras from a past life. I know that I spent more than one lifetime with some of my guardian demons and demonesses.
Andras has communicated with me through a dream before, although I couldn't make heads or tails of the dream. I think he and his hellhound were just saying "hi." 
Sometimes as one is falling asleep, with their eyes closed and their bodies relaxed, the gods may also send us a vision of themselves as they wish to appear and speak to us. This has happened once with me. If I am relaxed and receptive enough, the gods do this, which is nice because I get to hear their voices and sometimes see them.
I am unsure if Andras is your guardian demon. There is a high possibility that he is.However, ask him yourself, and he will reply. Good luck.

That said I would ask Him: Are you Dedicated to Satan? Just to make sure you aren't dealing with an imposter. Enemy Angels like to try to come off as a real Demon. If its really Him, He'll let you know. I don't know if He is your GD. I know He is my GD. I know He has been my GD in a past life and that we know one another very well. He communicated this to me. I want to paint Gods too, I had some images that comes in mind but it's hard for me to transfer images from my mind to the canvas.

Every canvas is valuable because its more experience. Maybe its just an exercise to see ways you can blend, how to layer, a new way to make something work. These skills become 'tools' in your toolbox. Don't be afraid to make mistakes; sometimes a so called 'mistake' turns out to be amazing! This happened with Lady Astaroths portrait. I did something at random without thinking and I suppose I could have said it was a mistake but I decided to go with it and it led to her magnificent dress, made it better than I had even conceived (and not at all what I'd originally set out to do). Another SS I know actually said to me that She had appeared to him once wearing a dress very much like this one so maybe it wasn't a 'mistake'. 
Often, as with writing a novel, the painting or the character in the book takes on a life of their own, and they start telling YOU what they want, what you have to do. You think as the creator that you are in charge but you aren't. Your Muse is in charge. Paintings often do this I've found. Especially with the Gods Portraits. I focus on them, let them know I'm setting about to paint them and ask if they'll give me their guidance, tell me what they want, etc and I'll do my best to listen and do as they want. My first Portrait was of Andras. I did Him for myself. I just wanted His picture. So I could feel closer to Him. I carried it about everywhere with me, took it out all the time to stare at it. I was staring at Him one day when He told me I should paint ALL the Gods. I didn't think I could. I said, Oh, I don't know....He said: It's a big job, but I know you can do it! So I said I would do it.
I don't want to bore anybody who has seen me post about this before so....I'll try to be really brief. Long story short Satan told me (I'd begun sketches of two other Gods) put those aside, you're doing ME next. After I finished His and He liked it, He gave me permission to approach any of the other Gods of Hell to ask to paint them and told me to carry on. So, in essence I was going through Him. HPS Maxine has written that when we are wanting to connect to a God we haven't met before, we must go through Satan. I hadn't remembered this, but Satan had and took care of it. He told me to do His next because He was vetting me out for the job before He approved.
I've worked every day for a year and a half on the Portraits. But then I found I was just....out of gas. In need of some time away. I think they allowed me to share a few Portrait details now, so I can be encouraged to pick this back up again and finish. I've been feeling really low because....I felt like I'd failed. I took time away when I should have been working. I understand they aren't mad at me, they want me to finish my job and I feel they felt I needed a little encouragement by seeing some positive feedback on the tiny bit I've released here. So thanks everyone.
I'm grateful to Satan too, for showing me that art history painting, inspiring me by showing me your face on it so I would sit up all night to make it happen. It really helped as well. I feel ready now at last to resume painting. I'm looking forward to the day when I can show everyone the faces of our Gods, ALL of them.
Yoake, I know its hard. I've worked for a long time to get to this level. As good as I may be, I see a lot of artists who are even better. There is always someone even more skilled. But, this just inspires you to work harder. We all learn from, and draw inspiration from one another. Nothing worth doing comes at the snap of a finger. Its all about doing the work. Being good at what you do takes dedication to the craft, attention to detail, serious application and determination. Its work. I've had this conversation with other artists I know and respect for their professionalism, work ethic, skill level and they all agree with me: Its about the daily grind of doing the work. I can do things now I couldn't do 2 years ago. But I worked constantly those 2 years, did a lot of swearing and crying out of frustration because I knew what I wanted to do but couldn't figure out how to make it work
The best advice I can give you is that doing the work consistently every day (or as much as you can) is what will build on itself as you hone your skills. Keep trying, keep painting (I would add here its the same principle with the meditations in trying to spiritually advance). Experiment, don't be afraid to make mistakes and have fun! Making art is fun!

<font>I had Sorath's canvas sitting on an easel in the back studio. Another artist stops by for a gander. He says: So, is this another one of your GAWDS? I said Yeah. He goes: Well, I dunno. Doesn't look much like a GAWD to me! I said: Oh? No? He says: Hes too handsome! He looks like a ROCK STAR! Well, I busted up laughing. I said to Sorath: “You hear that? You're a ROCK GOD!” The funny thing is that later on as I've come to get to know Sorath better, He let me know he enjoys rock music! LOL.

Julia, you can download your JPG from your phone onto a desktop and then open up the internet, JoS forum and add it in here, upload it off the desktop.

And in my own opinion, If I were a God, I dont think I could possibly be mad at you for this brilliant work. Who cares if it took a little extra time. Quality over quantity right? It's not like your taking 50 years to do the job. Youre not leaving your responsibilities.

HailOdin666: I use acrylics. I taught myself how to use photoshop. I also do landscapes old school, paint on canvas. So I'll take a JPG of my landscape and then incorporate it into a Digital Portrait. Then translate the portrait back into acrylic. So it's a mixture of paint on canvas with digital airbrushing that is then translated back out of the digital into acrylic paint on canvas. 
LIke for example, the portrait of Belial, or Enlil. The technique has taken me years to figure out and is time consuming. To translate one of these onto a canvas takes 4-6 weeks. And the process is very technical. you can do it all ok to the last step and then fuck it up. This happened with Amon Ra's Portrait. I ended up having to re-do a lot. I've had several artists ask me how the hell I'm doing this and I'm considering offering a workshop to teach them. I'm not too worried about sharing the process as every person doing it is going to do it differently. For example you can take a cake recipe and share it among others...and they may make something nice. But it takes a master chef to make the real deal cake.
Though I hesitate to say I'm a master chef, maybe I am. I just don't want to get a big head. I just do my best and hope its acceptible to the Gods. There is always more to be learned. I see this in the newest portraits as compared to the first ones. Makes me want to re-do the older ones but if I keep being dissatisfied with the older ones, the work will never get done. I have to leave them and move on. Like for example, Astaroth's Portrait came much later on than say, Soraths. Makes me want to re-do His as Hers is so much better. But I can't, if I am to ever finish. I have to move on and leave it as it is. I learn as I go.

I'm not involved in the art community, and I am not familiar with these techniques. But I think you have created a modern unique and brilliant way of creating an image. I've never known someone else to do this. They have so much depth to them!
