Advanced Crown Chakra Opening

[Darkness Rising]

I can't stand on my head because I have something wrong with my neck that causes me severe pain every time I try. But I can bend all the way over and put my hands on the floor with my head facing down. Can I do the advanced opening for the crown chakra that way? Because either way, the blood rushes to your head.

I went ahead and tried the advanced crown meditation bent over touching my toes with my head level with the floor. I'm pretty sure it had the same effects as the headstand because with most meditations, you can choose whether or not you want to focus on the energy. With this, I had no choice. It was an overwhelmingly powerful meditation that gave me the most incredible natural high. It felt absolutely amazing. So I found that it DOES work to do the advanced crown meditation bent over.

Perhaps you can try a different asana that changes the flow of prana to your head while not involving pressure on your neck. Some examples.
