I tried getting into a trance state 3 times today and i just couldn't. I came very near the trance state but i got thrown back each time. Could it be because we live 3 houses from a church or is it something else. After all today is Sunday. I am so confused and disappointed.

This is my second diary entry.

Again nothing happened. I tried at least 6 times to go into a trance state, and nothing. I am getting impatient with myself. The best i did was to give myself an enormous headache and for what? Nothing seems to work. I find it easier to lie down on the flour. Too hard for falling asleep and soft enough to be comfortable. Am i doing something wrong?

There's your problem. You're obsessed with it. Seriously 6 times? Why would you success you're so obsessed with the Trance state. You will get into a trance once you just let go and relax. This is what it means. Just relax, don't force it, as it never works that way.

Take it easy, one time trying a day, no more. When you try, don't think about whether it's going to work or not, just relax and try your best to be focused. Trance state is mental and physical relaxation, so being mentally relaxed is not enough if your body is not relaxed too, so relaxing the body with mental focus on each part of your body is a good exercise for both mental and physical relaxation.

The most important thing - don't get obsessed with it, just let go. It will come natural once you stop for a moment, and just relax.

Agreed. Patience is important here.

The only thing that you're doing wrong is getting impatient.

Patience and perseverance is what makes one surpass the others.

Another thing - perhaps a bit of changing your mentality could help? I'm sensing a bit of it, and self-defeating mindset is frequently an underlying reason for failure.
