a question to the vise, the owl

For some time now I have been seeing owls here and there, and I was wondering about it's meaning in Satanism. I started to look around, but as it turns out basically every nation has a different view.

Not to mention America, and it's incorporated owl on the one dollar bill, and the stories about Moloch.

SO I don't even know which side is the symbol on. And I even heard associations with Lilith.

So I wanted to get to the bottom of it and knowing the only place where I will find REAL knowledge about Satanism is here, I thought that this would be the best place to ask.
Or if you could point me in the right direction that would be also useful.
