Hello, I am usually not so forward but reading through the site made me remember this little piece of writing I wrote a long while back. Oddly enough, after reading a lot of the information offered, I found so many hidden meanings inside that support what I read. It may seem a little silly, but I feel the urge to share it with you all, perhaps you can shed some light or even confirm what I thought of. Ahaha, well I hope it is received favorably
Eden of Darkness
I exist sole in this Realm of Shadows
A world untouched by the Wavering Light
My kingdom is this infinite oblivion of space
An obsidian abyss that stems from a jagged soul
This darkness that cradled me-
This darkness that embraced me-
Accepted me when all else refused
For I am naught but the dark indulgence that spawned me
A being the Champions of Light cannot hope to save
What name then shall I vainly hope to claim,
If I am shrouded by an unseen mist that renders me nameless?
Nor what form shall I give myself,
If my amorphous image hovers upon the edge of mortal periphery?
Nay I am naught,
Simply a faceless entity weaved oft darkness,
For it is such the Shadows will remember,
A fallen being sentenced to forever wander,
The lonely roads untread in darkness
Dreaming of the long-forgotten Light; forsaken
This-This is my Eden of Darkness
When I read this, I think of a "hidden" Paradise...one with a forgotten route, and so it is shrouded and hidden. As well, when I wrote this, I had felt that I had been let down by the "Wavering Light" too often and so turned to "darkness" for acceptance so hence the title Eden of Darkness...I don't know...this piece is my most favorite of all I have written, it reminds in a nudging way that what I most need/want has always been there in the dark, waiting patiently, but perhaps I am merely grasping at straws...
Either way, it feels like an odd coincidence to me, that I stumbled upon this site and group and suddenly feel the need to share this little piece of forgotten writing. Something guided me here, I am sure of it...
Well either way, I do hope you enjoy it, even if only for the literary amusement it may provide. In the meantime, I will continue to learn more about all of you and the philosophies that accompany you. I admit, a lot of my feelings and viewpoints align very nicely with what I am learning.
Thank you for your time.
