One of my roommates was smoking weed, they said they smoked it outside and I briefly went to their room and it smelled like weed and then I went back to my room, but I noticed I felt high afterwards. I used to smoke ALOT and I quit after dedicating, and I want to know if this will affect me.

I was so frustrated that this happened. I have tried very hard to keep clean, then some random event like this happens, and I get high, and it wasn't even my fault.

I want to know if this can affect my soul, since I didn't smoke anything, but just smelled weed and got high. Did this just set back my progress? Is this a placebo effect, or am I feeling the energy of the substance, or the person who was high? I am very annoyed this happened

Drugs, even grass, which may contain poisonous and other narcotic impurities, destroys your body and health.

You were probably at a fairly close distance from the addicts and accidentally inhaled the smell of grass.

I recommend that you be more careful and try to avoid such people. Stoned drug addicts can rob and usually commit other crimes, especially, if we are talking about Canada.

There are fewer drug addicts in my country, because possession of drugs, including weed (which is legalized in Canada), carries very high criminal sentences, and you can get 12 or 20 years in prison for possession.

You did not smoke or use anything, you were only exposed to the smell for a short time. This kind of exposure does not have any long-term physical or spiritual effect. Because of your past habits, your brain may have reacted and made you feel “good” for a short moment. This is a brain response, not a step back. As long as you stay away from these substances, your spiritual progress is not reversed.
