All beings in this universe move only according to their self interests and benefits. The Gods are not exempt from this. The enemy is not exempt from this.
Here are a few things to consider for people considering dedicating -
1. If you are thinking of fulfilling your wishes and desires after dedicating to the Gods, you may or may not be disappointed. They aren't wish granting genies. They are likely to grant wishes to those who are likely to serve them and their self interests.
2. Righteousness and evil is a spectrum to the Gods where they won't fall below a certain line when recruiting potential members/soldiers. Where the line lies, only they know.
3. Although not explicitly stated in the dedication ritual, you will be expected to dedicate to the Gods. After all, its a dedication ritual. A considerable ratio of your time will be expected to be dedicated to the Gods.
4. Do not dream of a world where you get to keep your freedom and still be with the Gods at the same time. The freedom I am talking about is where you interact with ToZ via principle of equivalent exchange. As in, I did all the asked rituals or duties, so now I will continue with my meditations and spiritual workings to grant my personal wishes and desires. That does not work here. You will be expected to dedicate, in whatever form may it be, be it praises to the Gods, developing relationship with the Gods or volunteering work, on top of the asked rituals or duties. Of course, you can continue in whatever way you desire but do know that it will be frowned upon by the ToZ and the Gods and you may hit a dead end past a certain point in time.
5. You will be protected for 1 year after dedication during which you can explore the religion without any pressure of dedication or the enemy. After which, you will be expected to join the war efforts at the very least. Of course, the sooner you join, the better. Even if you start the journey of meditation and start contributing in the war against the enemy, you will always be expected to dedicate after a certain point in time. If not today, then tomorrow. If not tomorrow, the day after. If not in this lifetime, then in the next one. Though, I don't know the tolerance level that the Gods have on this matter.
The above is an open secret and is written with my experience as reference. Nobody explicitly states the above points to new members considering dedicating and many expect them to gradually know these things. I for one, do not believe in gradual adaption. Had I known the things stated above, much of my time would not have been wasted and be seeped with disappointment. Some members may argue with me or flame me for saying this but I am saying nothing but the truth. As such, I am not afraid. People who are new or are considering dedicating will realize that what I said stood true to the test of time after they reach a certain point in advancement. That's all.
