What are the toz opinion about monogamy? What if I'm in a marriage but we have become distant and are mostly together because of children is it dishonorable to seek affection and sex outside the marriage

That would be dishonorable if you are married. Either work to fix your marriage, or if there are extreme serious problems that it can't be fixed, then it might be a good idea to get divorced. But cheating when you are married is very dishonorable.

Are you a woman? If a woman, well... maybe do something about it? Be the 1st to show initiative. Depending on how long you've been married. People expect not to change as time goes by - WRONG.

If you're a man - bad news, she may already have a lover and will probably want to divorce you because she 'feels unhappy'. Better have some money of which she does not know.

Satanism doesn't ban polygamy because it is personal and between you and your spouse but you shouldn't be polygamous just because you have a problem with your spouse.

Other people here just wrote their personal opinions and not what our religion really says about this issue.

Monogamy is better for children and society but if both you and your spouse are okay with it and your kids are fine with it too, then do what you want.

Just be aware of the problems it could cause.

Why does the gender matter? They both should do something about it? This person should at least talk to their partner and inspire both of them to take initiative to fix what Is wrong. Also why do you imply the woman would automatically cheat already? Don't get me started on the men who leave their wives for having cancer just because they don't get sex or when their wives are pregnant.

I used "may" not "will", as I chose my wording carefully. "Will" as a verb is stronger, "may" is weaker.

True, we don't know the gender of the OP, and what culture he/she is from. That said, I'm talking about generalities.

Overall, and hardly surprising, genders are treated differently by the law. When a man divorces, he loses half of his wealth, saving, kids, etc. UNLESS there was a prenup. Modern women (and this is a huge factor) do not want prenups, as they see it as a sign of distrust from a man, thus the trap is set.

Unless there are circumstances to prove otherwise, who do you think the court will favour, men or women?

I encourage you to google the following: 1) 'which gender initiates divorce more', 2) 'what do men lose in a divorce'. Check the percentages.

And an anecdote: Q: How can a woman become a millionaire overnight? A: She has to marry and divorce a billionaire.

Sure, those are a fraction, but nonetheless, divorce is a lucrative business... sadly :(

men who leave their wives for having cancer
That's shameful on the part of men.

just because they don't get sex
Ever heard of sex-starved marriage? Why should one partner NOT have sex with another? Let alone in a marriage?

Men's sex drive is higher than a woman's. This can be used by so-called modern women to seduce men, unless he can control himself and not fall for any thirst traps (actually, this is what is happening, as some claim dating is dead - a bit of an overstatement, but still....). Check what the dating scene looks like nowadays, you may be surprised...

Lastly, OP - I do hope your partner has no lovers, and that by now, you've talked to him/her. Partner therapy may help. A divorce for a child is a blow no parent should deal. When you have fixed your marriage, the idea of polygamy will fade
