Who is Satan?

I am sorry for being this ignorant, but i wanna learn. I saw a post saying that Shiva is father Satan? Isn't Satan the one who has the face of a goat,horns and so on? Can someone give me a good source from where i can learn more?

No, such a depiction is 50% insulting and blasphemous and 50% allegorical. The Baphomet isn't Satan, but an allegory for a perfected human who has reached Godhood and has balanced himself/herself (that's why it's depicted as a hermaphrodite, the wings represent freedom, the goat head fertility and power, the torch between his horns represents illumination e.t.c.). It's an allegory that was never meant to be a literal being.

The thing is, normally you're supposed to find and read the JoS site we're based on (http://www.joyofsatan.org) and then join these forums if you want to learn more. But in your case, you found the forums without knowing there's an entire site we're based on. Someone probably gave it to you without giving you a link to the JoS site which is discouraged. It's even posted in the description of this group that you made a post in. Not there's anything wrong with it, but it's weird and annoying to long-time members, since they have to give the same replies to the same questions asked which are all answered by reading the site.

You didn't offend me, I'm used to people having misconceptions about Satan. That's why you should read the main JoS site and not just the forums as the forums are based on the info from the JoS site.

I read your detailed post, I replied to it and you still have the same misconceptions about Satan (like you compare the made up fallen angel bullshit story as if it's taken to represent who Satan really is and is not merely propaganda in order to demonize Satan and make him subservient to their fake god).

Please, before asking or posting anything else read the JoS site as it clarifies the whole thing. Even in the front page it says:

Did you read these parts? I assume not, because if you did you wouldn't assume that Satan is a fallen angel or that he has anything to do with xianity. And these are just from the main page, there's much more info if you read carefully.

Satan's many names each have spiritual properties, including the name of Satan itself. This is shown in the mantras of Satanas and Satanama, for example. Therefore we do not want to just abandon this to the Christians.

We recognize his name and him as separate from Christianity. We are not actually referencing the slander against him in the Bible as anything valid or real. Satan existed before the Bible, evidence by all Pagan cultures, and exists through its end as well. It does not matter whatever fairy tales the enemy writes and tries to stick onto him.
