For the past seven years, I have been living in my apartment, and every fall, I have consistently placed a pumpkin or pumpkin puree outside for the squirrels. During this time, I have observed a particular grey squirrel with a tan underbelly that has managed to retrieve the pumpkin each of those seven years.
Each time I indulged in pumpkin spice while watching "Spice" the squirrel enjoy the pumpkin, I affectionately nicknamed it "Spice." In a heartwarming gesture, Spice would leave a nut as a sign of gratitude. However, today was a heartbreaking day as I witnessed Spice fall from the tree and pass away, leaving me surprisingly devastated over a wild animal. My fiancé had to gently remove Spice and place it in the bushes, allowing nature to run its course.
I had a good cry for a moment then my fiance said that is life and it was a old creature I guess he was right
