Greetings.

For the past few months, I have been listening to Malte Marten's handpan meditation music. He is a Gentile with quite a large following and his content is pure gold.

This is my standard one to use:

Complete silence is however ideal for meditation and it's ultimate goal.
The goal of meditation is complete stillness and nothingness, in which everythingness is ultimately found.
Darkness is light turned inside out, and in the ultimate darkness we find the ultimate light within.

The feeling of silence being boring, can probably be a sign of something uneasy within oneself - being percieved as boring.
That uneasy feeling is best met with being still in silence. In the end, silence will instead of boring become a pleasure to be in.
Not after just one minute though, but gradually it will, if meditation is taken seriously.

It's about coming to terms with the deepest inner, and thus being still instead of running around mentally and flee from the inner.
Only silence will ultimately silence the mind. If it's boring at first, it will be the opposite in the end.

To find joy in the here and now, one must also strive to be totally in it.

You're right.

This is indeed pure gold!
I clicked on first video that it recommended me, the one that's 8 months ago and I'm at loss of words.
So calming and beautiful.
I've heard of the instrument before, but it never caught my interest and oh how I was wrong.

I personally don't have favourite music to meditate, usually it's either sounds of rain with distant thunderstorms, sounds of waves or crackling fire etc.
If anyone else has any music they like to meditate to, please share! 🙂🙂
