Both sides of this debate are true in their own ways, as yes a God can always use their energy for other purposes, but in our case, a small amount for them goes a long way for us. What is most important for both parties therefore becomes maximizing the investment of the Gods' energies on us. Since we are the limiting factor, this requires us to develop the necessary skills to make the most use of their attention.
Although trying to handle matters on our own can be rooted in the belief of respect for the Gods' time, taking a more active approach to better receive them is a better way to develop the relationship long term.
Well said, Blitzkreig TG. Reading your reply, I have realized one thing. That I had underestimated the Gods. I was seeing the tree but not the whole forest. At a first glance, both sides of the coin may appear to be a win win for the Gods. Taking matters into your own hands without relying on the Gods or relying and building a loving relationship with the Gods. However, there is a great downward slant in cost efficiency with the former but a humongous upwards one with the latter. The key word is 'love' and 'relationship'.
Love is the cheapest form of currency which can be used to incentivize people i.e., making them do tasks. Love is hard coded into a parent's gene to ensure the survival of the baby and the future generations thereof. Love between friends increases the cohesiveness of humanity. Love between couples generally incentivizes the male to provide for the female. In all of these, a person does something for the other without expectations of any material remuneration. The thing that makes love so wonderful is that it can be printed endlessly and is very inexpensive. Goods and service bought with love is love itself. Therefore, it can never run out and can be traded endlessly among humanity.
'I do it because I love you.'
The problem with taking matters into your own hand and not relying on Gods is that it fosters a sense of independence in a Satanist. It creates distance between oneself and the Gods. A sense of alienation and isolation thus takes root. On the bright side, respect to the Gods and their time is fostered. However, this to the Gods is severely cost inefficient and comes with risks. In the lack of a relationship between a Satanist and the Gods, they may cannot push a Satanist towards their personal outcomes, self interests or tendencies without expending more energy than they would by the medium of love. People are susceptible to those they have opened their heart towards. They are more likely to obey a loved one than a stranger towards whom they are on guard against. The stranger has to doll out different forms of energy, be it financial or spiritual, to influence that person, all of which are hard earned and are not free or easily generated like love. The implications are spiritual and are connected to heart chakra. The same applies in a relationship or a lack of it between a Satanist and the Gods.
The above however is not the most problematic aspect to the Gods. A little bit of cost inefficiency as explained above is fine here and there. However, it is not fine anymore in the long term. Because, this to Gods, is a major threat to their self interest. A major threat of self interest to Satan himself. Almost, if not all of the Gods are dedicated to Satan. Anyone newly dedicated is expected to dedicate their lives to Satan eternally even if they were not serious about dedicating their soul to him when doing the ritual. People who do not foster a relationship with the gods, usually exhibit more independent characterisitics. They are lone boats sailing in the high seas. Too much indendency and isolation, creates an emroyo of distrust and loyalty to oneself. Loyalty is spectrum and usually these people are more loyal to themselves than they are loyal to other things. The more loyal they are to oneself the more it is a betrayal to Gods for they do things which mostly serve their own self interests and not the Gods'. The feeling of natural or
unnnatural guilt often attacks the conscience of those who have promised to dedicate but strive for their own personal gain moreso than for their higherups, be it the ToZ or the Gods. The ToZ has not openly criticized this behaviour but often has guided such people out of this behaviour subtly and indirectly through sermons. After all they cannot go around saying blatantly to put the Gods above anything and everything. It will just put off those who are considering dedication.
That's my bits and pieces on this subject.
