So the accepted creation story is that the universe contained nothing but Chaos, a lifeless bulk of darkness from Gaia (earth) , Tartarus (the underworld), and Eros (love) suddenly sprang from. Gaia then gave birth to Uranus (sky) and other primordial gods. Gaia and Uranus mated and Kronos (time) and Rhea were born. Zeus was born from Kronos and Rhea.
