WHAT TO DO

This is starting to worry me... There's this unknown number who keeps on sending xtian msgs.and quotes.. I asked who the sender was but no reply.. But hours earlier today , I really get pissed off w/the  'godbless you' 'may god'  txt msg.. It really irritated me.. I finally replied to the sender , irritated , i txtd : " Enough of ur xtian msgs.I dont need them or ur filthy YHVH." and then asked to quit sending msgs and delete my number.. The msg.was like a big slap to the face .The sender replied .. and to my shock , she said that she was my Accounting Manager at work.She said that I should be careful with what I say nxtime..I told her that it really was INTENTIONAL and NOT a mistake coz we hav entirely different beliefs.I know what I did is really unethical/out of place to burst out things emotionally like that , BUT I SEE NO REASON TO APOLOGIZE.. Now my big problem is the work relationship at the office.. I know starting by Monday ,this ain't gonna be easy.. I know things will be different.. And I know that she'll spread this out to her co-superiors..I really need ur opinion about this..

Any messages containing this smut get labeled as spam. Pretty soon, it gets caught automatically as spam, and you never have to deal with it. If it continues, whoever asshole sending you this spam gets in trouble.

The only reason to apologize would be to "apologize," that is, make nice. Sort of a "sorry for losing my temper, Sure, but I really hate having others' religious beliefs crammed down my throat" apology. (I don't know if your work situation requires you to make nice to this woman in order to keep you employed.)

But then I'd say be really, really firm about being offended by being xian messages. She has no right to force-feed you her religious beliefs; proselytizing is considered religious harassment.

Hopefully, this is helpful. It is so annoying that xians think they have the right to go around preaching at everyone, and act so victimized when we tell them to leave us alone!

Have you read the section of the JoS site dealing with how to handle xians and your legal rights?  It would be quite helpful to you to start;  and you have the law on your side as preaching at you at work is illegal-it is harrassment and creating a hostile work environment is against federal employment laws.  Here in California you can file a complaint of harrassment, hostile work environment and discrimination on your type of employment issues.  The dept. of industrial relations handles those kinds of issues;  the state labor board handles pay, overtime, being forced to work off the clock, etc. issues.  Don't let your work make you miserable; you have the legal right to work in an intimidation free, equal opportunity employment setting.  Look up "Undercover Lawyer", he helped me immensely as by day he works for the corporations ; but at night, he gives us the info needed to fight back effectively by usssssssing the law.
