I was wondering if anyone out there could recommend any books on Satanism, the Left Hand Path, or spiritual Satanism in general. I have the Nocturnicon and a few of LaVey's books (which I also had questions about) and since I am a huge bibiliophile, I am always looking for new books to help me get a bit of insight. My second question regarding LaVey is has anyone read his works and what is the opinion on it? I am finding that his Satanism is different from Spiritual Satanism and I am just interested in hearing others' views on the subject.

LaVey's works are a great stepping stone for those seeking to get away from xianity and learn how to open their minds, but that's really about it as far as I'm concerned. Satan is used as an archetype as opposed to an actual entity.

I am assuming your speaking of Konstantinos book "Nocturnicon". I have skimmed through it, but I would not really group it into the category of Satanism, per say. It is an interesting read, but I'm not sure if I would really put too much stock in it.

There are a number of things worth ordering from the JoS site, and also you might want to look into ixaxaar.com. You can usually come across a few decent books every so often.

Lavey's work is good stuff, but we do know Satan is real so read and judge accordingly :)

About books on Spiritual Satanism, you first need to forget western occultism (like Crowley, O.T.O., grimoires) or xian-stereotype Satanism books (Demonic Bible, Michael W. Ford). Sure you can read them but you'll sure learn nothing applicable to Spiritual Satanism and respectful to Satan and the Gods of Hell. And generally there isn't pretty much anything about Spiritual Satanism in books except those you order from the JoS site.

I've gotta look at my list of books for specific books, but you should find those categories in general:

Yoga books
Ancient mythology books (Vedic, Sumerian, Egyptian, Norse e.t.c.)
E.T. books
Runes books
Witchcraft books

I'm sure some are written from a new age point but you can do find a grain of truth and useful techniques. In particular, look for the Lost Book of Enki, Gods of Eden, Kundalini Tantra, Mastering Witchcraft, Initiation into Hermetics. There are some other yoga books in the JoS site, and many more in free pdfs in the JoS groups.

Look for the Lost Book of Enki,

I don't really care for the new "trendy" version of Satanism, that Anton LaVey created, but Anton LaVeys intentions are questionable. I still wonder if he was a real Satanist and he only made his version of Satanism Atheistic so that more people would be open to it.

LaVey was very good at organizing ritual tools and what not, and in my opinion he did do quite a bit of good for the Satanic community....even if he did advocate jhvh in his enochian keys, and even if his 4 crowned Princes of Hell were incorrect. He was still the 1st to use the term "4 Crowned Princes of Hell."

Oh yeah, we were talking about books.... A few books I would reccomend for every Satanist, would be "Secret Rituals of the OTO" (this should clear up alot of the bullshit surounding the supposedly "Satanic" Masons), "Protocols of the elder zion", "Gods of Eden", THE LOST BOOK OF ENKI (this is a must have), "The Necronomicon" (not Lovecrafts), "Enuma Elish", "The Al-Jilwah" (it's on JoS), and "God of the Witches"

The ixaxaar.com has a really good selection, but since the prices are in euros, it will cost more. Compare the prices (and authors, as well as the recommendations) found on www.lulu.com. I believe it's a company based in North Carolina, so shipping and prices are more reasonable. And I believe anything you find on ixaxaar.com you can find on www.lulu.com.

Most of the publications on Ixaxaar I don't believe are available outside of Ixaxxar. I mean sure there are a select few, things by the ONA and other orders of that nature, but anything written by the TOTBL usually is not available anywhere except through the TOTBL or Ixaxaar. Any of those books are not on Spiritual Satanism however, they are anti-cosmic Satanism.

There is a good PDF library on spiritualsatanist.com that has a lot of really good books. There are quite a few worth passing over as well, but for the most part it's a great selection.

Hello,

I noticed on Amazon that there are two books called "Gods of Eden", one by William Bramley and one by Andrew Collins. Which one are you referring to?

Thanks for reading my message.

I believe the Bramley one is available as a PDF in the list of books I provided the link for in my last post.
