This post was originally going to go onto a blog I had planned on making; however, I now not only have the time to make and maintain a blog, I figured this was a decent enough place to put it.

   The Satanic Mindset
"Ways (I believe) Satanists should probably think and act"

Satanism as a whole community is becoming a large and influential part of western society(more so over the past 50 or so years) and because of this more and more Satanists are spreading their ideals from one place to another. Which is why its pretty important for us to know ourselves and the people we are talking to. This leads me to my first ideal.

Everyone you talk to either is a Satanist OR will be in the future. I'm not here to say that the confrontations and arguments will be easy but straight out saying "You're wrong." is really counter productive to proving yourself right. Spilling out cold hard facts might still get someone to close up BUT in the long run, they'll have something to think about while they try to get some sleep. I've also (personally) accepted defeat in a couple of arguments; garnishing the respect and trust of those included in the argument. Only to return later with more facts and a devastating/compelling argument that got them thinking. If I had closed up in the first place, they probably wouldn't have listened to me the second time around.

Second (and this is a strangely hard ideal for some to swallow.), Dress nice. People are judgmental assholes and it's okay, it's kind of human nature. So I have a simple rule; "Button-up by day, barely appropriate by night.". I (just like a good deal of people) enjoy my clothes, however, during the day I feel more approachable when I'm wearing a decent button-up shirt and some shiny shoes (boots or sneakers). Simply by LOOKING more approachable I get more people to come to me and ask about my tattoos, what they mean, what spiritual satanism is like and so on. I live in the bible belt; looking approachable, educating myself and speaking softly have allowed me many freedoms here in the south. In-fact I have more bible-thumpin' rednecks that hardly know me who'd be willing to defend me in a fight. What they do know is, I'm a Satanist and I'm 'cool as shit'.

Lastly (and this is one a lot of people here do a very good job of.) is educating ones self on the opposing factions "knowledge". learning bible verses and religious lore is boring, makes you feel like you might be losing a brain cell or two and leaves a pretty bad taste in the mouth BUT it will also win you a fair amount of arguments, making you and Satanism look smart. You might also turn a christian acquaintance into a Satanic friend. (which kinda goes back to that first point).

Overall I feel like every day of my life I am representing the Satanic religion and mindset. Everything I say and do doesn't just speak for me; it speaks for the entire community. Some of you may already know these things; some of you may not but I believe it is the little things like this that will ensure our return as the one and only truly spiritual religion and way of life.

Okay, this is interesting.
For your first ideal: I disagree. xDThe reason I disagree is because I do know of one relative of mine who was such a hardcore christian, that when she died she was just fed to the enemy right away... There's no going back for her and she never did become a Satanist. But of course, this woman was old etc etc etc. Now, for the *youth*... Well, maybe, maybe not. It's not certain. Well it *is* an ideal, but it is neither a fact, nor a rule with which you should live your life. You shouldn't think that you can save every person you meet. You could give it a try (IF your instinct or even your Guardian tells you so) but this doesn't happen with everyone... Some people are not ready in this lifetime, others are still too weak etc. I have lots of experience in the matter, so this is my conclusion.
I agree with the second, but I disagree at the same time. xDWell, "dress nice" of course, no one wants to go around looking like a beggar, right? It's only natural. But then, the kind of "clothes" one wears is entirely up to the individual. I used to like really eccentric clothes, but I have another kind of logic now, so I don't need them; but I still do want some things that are eccentric and " 'good' bible people" would not consider them appropriate or whatever... But I don't give a fuck. No one should. Don't live your life by thinking that if you change your self or your appearance according to the others' standards, you'll somehow gain their respect. Live your life by being SUCH an amazing, smart and powerful, unique and genuine person, that the others will respect you for who you are. Not what you wear. If they're so simple-minded that they can't see past your looks, then it's their problem, not yours. I wouldn't want to be friends with that kind of people anyway.
With the last one I agree. :p Στις 8:02 π.μ. Τετάρτη, 30 Απριλίου 2014, ο/η "wolfhelm_ceallaigh@..." <wolfhelm_ceallaigh@... έγραψε:
