Question about severing enemy links

I was reading on HP Vovim Baghie's website, about severing the enemy links. However, I have a question:

must I always use my hands to remove the tubes physically? Some parts I cannot reach on my back. Plus, sometimes I am in public when the Greys are shoving tubes into me all over, is it possible to just remove them astrally? And with the electric Demonic blue fire?

Yes that is fine; using the hands just acts as a focus when first severing the enemy-Links. After you grasp the concept of severing them, you can just use the Demonic Blue Energy and Fire to sever the links.
