First, I apologize for it being so long. I just wanted to share my experience.
Last night I was wondering if I could perform a Standard Ritual to request something that I felt I needed even though I am still a week away from performing my Dedication Ritual. I went on my Ouija board and tried very hard to contact someone when Father Satan eventually came to me. I asked him, "May I perform this ritual even though I am not dedicated yet?" And he said, "Yes but only once and ask only if it is important. But if you do this I would like it if you did dedicate yourself soon." Of course I can understand taking requests from those who have not dedicated themselves could be a little unnerving because they can just be selfish and ask without giving anything in return and feel as if they don't owe anything. But I planned on dedicating myself soon, anyway, so making that promise is something I am sure to keep.
Anyway, I read and reread everything until I was absolutely sure and positive that I had everything down, then I took a shower and got ready for the ritual. A little after two in the morning, I began the ritual, which went smoother than I expected. What I loved most was when I was pointing my Athame. I wasn't sure where I was to point because I'm not sure where North, South, East, Or West is since I don't have a compass and I'm not sure where the front of the house is pointing. It felt as if someone was pulling me around in the area I was supposed to be going which was really helpful. Then I performed the ritual and went to meditate.
As I was meditating, it took me a while to get into a deep trance, but once I was there I felt as if a hand pressed up against the left side of my face. It was the strangest feeling I have ever experienced. I read about the bio-electricity, but never really understood it until last night. It really felt like this tingly sunburned kind of cold feeling right along the left side of my face. I assumed it was a hand because of the area in which I felt it would be comparable to if someone was touching me with their hand. It lasted the whole time I was in a trance then I said a few prayers and came back from the trance. As soon as I came out, the feeling on the side of my face began to fade then disappear though it still felt as though I had a slight sunburn. It was very sensitive for a while. I think I must have touched it a hundred times in awe that it happened, ha ha.
I went to bed and slept great. Woke up this morning and it was weird. Instead of feeling groggy and extremely tired like I usually do, I felt the most unexplainable feeling of sheer bliss I have ever felt in my entire life. I've been in such a happy and excited mood all day.
It was such a wonderful experience! I never expected it to turn out so well.
On a side note: When is Imbolc this year? That is when I plan to dedicate myself and I want to make sure I do it on the right day.
