This morning I spent around 40 minutes trying to get into a trance. I got very relaxed, doing the breathing exercise, and I also tried some music to see if it would help. It was really relaxing music too, so I think it did. I tried the latter thing and then eventually free fell. Well, sort of. It's still hard for me to get the free falling effect on command. But after a few minutes I felt like, I couldnt feel my body, and other then that I felt sort of heavy. But other then that nothing changed. And like I said, only tried for 40 minutes so I didnt do anything after that. What I'm wondering is should I try something different or did I maybe get into a trance and just not know it?

It sounds to me like you did achieve a light trance state. The problem with getting a free fall effect a lot of times is because the conscious mind tries to take over (mostly from fear of unknown that people have been programed with) and does sometimes take longer to achieve on a continual basis. Some people can fall into a trance quickly while others of us need to take a bit longer.

Relax, take your time, and keep at it. Eventually you will be able to tell the difference between the light and deep trance states. If you keep a journal or notebook, log the experiences each time and you should start to see the changes as you progress. Writing them down can also be a great reenforcement method to show yourself you are making the progress.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, just tried it again today for about another 40 minutes (that's usually my time limit XD) and I made much more progress. I think I am hitting trance, im just not getting deep into it. But I will eventually :)
