I am honestly unsure of how many attacks I have had, but this was the first since my Dedication to Father Satan.

All of my attacks, which went on from 1980-1988, were in the waking state, as I was laying down, waiting for sleep. My first attack had visual phenomena, which was a "cloud of white sparks" that came in from the crack over the door. Your "...swirl of white mist" sounds very similar.
