My very brief experience with the God Asclepius and my two humble cents about nutrition

I’ve seen the recent post by the High Priest about strange diets, marketing New Age Spirituality and the like, and I thought about giving my personal experience of this week.

Since I contacted the God Asclepius at the start of this ending week, I strangely became more aware and concerned about eating healthily, a sense that this topic was relevant for me and that I’ve been putting in the back burner something that was obviously affecting me.

I also started seeing diet advice kind of everywhere last week, and in general, I had a heightened sense of intuition concerning what was good for me to eat and what was not, as well as about its quantity

I cut off beer, non-whole grain or in general carbs on a large part (in my case), and my energy levels turned back to normal slowly, along with more physical activity that also restored my sleep patterns to regularity.

I became more aware of how much my energy levels were affected by what I ate and how (at least for me) even one beer (especially if cumulative, like one per day with friends in the evening, even with small gradation...I didn't drink hardcore stuff, generally just 3.5/4/5%) could be detrimental to my physical health, hence my energy issues and symptoms of increased anxiety and depression.

Also, cutting off things that are not whole-grain, since they are highly processed and cause a bigger sugar spike (for what I know), whole-grain bread is best and doesn't do much damage (if not in excessive quantity).

I think nutrition is part of our Work of Advancement since we work with Energy, and food is a source of Energy for the body, and eating well puts you in a better state for whatever you do in the day, including Spiritual Work. The micro and macro nutrients you take in become part of your body and affect you on a cellular level in their cycles.

We are also connected to our bodies; the Body affects the Psyche and vice versa, the Psyche affects the Body.

That being said, I think we cannot be in our optimal state, and it’s going to affect your well-being
(both physical, as in energy instability, health issues…and psychological, as in mood stability, concentration, and mental endurance)
and our advancement if we’re eating like crap, especially if we do so for prolonged periods and refusing to do anything about it.

A part of our advancement is connected to cultivating the potential in our bodies through nutrition, proper sleep, and movement.

Each body is different and has different needs. I don't believe there is a one-fit diet for everyone, that's not how it work. There is no one solution and I think we have the responsibility to take care for our bodies (nutrition, sleep, movement). Knowing our bodies and what we need to eat to stay good is part of Know Thyself, I believe (even though there is so so so much more to that maxim).

I think we should be mindful of how energy levels are affected by food, especially in the long run, but also in the short run (one week of one slow-grade beer and one panzerotto per day was enough to mess me up). What we eat becomes part of our bodies due to digestion and the balance of the nutrients within us has to be explored so we are in optimal states to go with our days. Food also affects your psychological well-being since the nutrients go the brain too. If you eat well, you will feel better too and not experience mood fluctuations, like people with carb addiction do. Also, too much salt makes you...saltier (pun intended but also true).

With sleep too, I noticed that I had more trouble feeling my Solar Plexus in the morning if I didn't sleep well the day before. I also feel very depressed when I eat too much carbs, even traditional homemade dishes.

Hope this is valuable…
Hail Asclepius! Hail the Gods!

Usually and most of the times, when One is asking help from the God's, especially some specific One's, then yes, it's normal for your "Awareness" to increase in those areas.

On the mental level of the body for instance, one could go into psychology for instance and many other things to future understand his own mind, master it and evolve.

God's always help one that's willing and desires to do better.
