Is the Dimond surname actually jewish?

I was asking this because i found on internet two "guys" with this surname and they seemed part of the Catholic false opposition. A thing that supports this argument is the fact that it sounds pretty similar to the word "diamond". Also, it is a fact that jews tend to name themselves after shiny and "precious" things, such as "Gold" or "Silver" or even "Money". What do you think?
