I just performed the dedication ritual. I was sitting in the bushes out in the backyard. I wrote the prayer, lit the candle, signed my name, read it, then burned it on the candle and in a bowl. I sat and watched it burn, and it was pretty much gone when I heard my mom walking around somewhere. I quickly blew out the candle and hid my bag before my mom could see. She was mostly concerned about the candle, and she toke it and the bowl away with her.
I never got to say "So mote it be" at the end. I went through a lot to get the candle and the bowl and everything, and I'm really worried that because of my mom stepping in, it could have all gone down the drain.

I don't think it's ruined because in the dedication the most important thing is what is in your heart. When I did mine I let the candle burn until the next morning but it was a big candle so it didn't burn out or melt completely then I just put the flame out but I'm positive that my dedication worked out because father satan helps me more then when I was an outsider. But try talking to father satan and see if he responds. At first its going to seem as if your talking alone but father satan is always listening and you have to start talking to him a lot. Thank him for everything and tell him to have a good day and stuff, that's what I did to make our relationship closer and I still thank him and everything. If anything just email me. Hail Satan!
