Is it beneficial to first open third eye before other chakras?

What exactly are the main benefits for opening the third eye other than being more psychic and/or being more open spiritually? Any advice is appreciated.

Their are many Chakras.  You need to open them all.  In doing so you open your soul.  Being more psychic and more open automatically increases your abilities.  You have abilities that you don't know about.  Profound abilities...  When your open you see more of the abilities that you already have.  And their are still many more after that to be had.  I don't know who told you to open one chakra.  It makes no sense.  Here's some good reading material.Opening the Soul 666

Serpent ascends from the base of spine,piercing through all the 7 chakras to the top, for it to ascend safely all the lower and upper chakras should be unobstructed and fully opened. So start with opening the third eye meditation.
