Fertility/ infertility

How would you describe the state of both your kidneys?
Healthy. Are you suggesting a cleanse?
Sorry or the late response. Brea.

The kidneys are related to the sexual fertility. Due to modern society, a lot of people have kidney imbalances, more or less.

There is definitely a reason for the infertility issue.

I'm starting to wonder if I need to raise progesterone in the second half of my cycle. I was on Vitex everyday but now I'm going to try it in the luteal phase. I know everything will work itself out its just frustrating.
How long have you been on the vitex? It is a slow acting herb.
Have you suffered from imbalanced hormones in the past? Sensitive? Of you have a progesterone issue, I can recommend something a bit stronger for that.

Bone broth is very helpful for the kidneys as well as consuming kidney organs, they have some in capsule form too. The kidneys are related to the sexual health, fertility and life force which affects the ovum and sperm of either sex.

I was taking Vitex for 3 months. It was amazing and got my cycles to be pretty consistent. It also helped with pms. I stopped almost a year ago because I started taking so many herbs (cohosh, Dong qai, shatavari, etc) that it felt like too much. I would love to know what you think will be stronger than Vitex!
I eat organs and bone broth every now and then. Not my favorite. I will start the kidney capsules. I was also curious about taking ovarian glandular. It's a whole new world of supplementation for me but I love trying new things.
Also, you say your fiance's sperm count is normal. To what standard? Men's sperm count has declined over the decades... A lot of things deemed normal today are not quite, speaking in terms of health. There are some things he can and should do as well. I find a lot of times, infertility usually comes from the males performance--his sperm quality even if it might appear normal. My point is working to conceive should be a job on both sides, not just yours.

Do either yourself or your partner experience any of the following?

Feelings of heat or cold, particularly in the feet, hands and chest?

Pain in the lower back or flanks?

Frequent urination and/or nocturia?

Dizziness, tinnitus or vertigo?

Do you or have you in the past year had irregular menstrual cycles, skipped or short cycles (or short bleed times <3 days) or any between cycle bleeding or spotting?

Drinking alcohol and smoking weed both damage sperm, and damaged sperm is difficult to fertilize the egg and can also result in early miscarriage (within a week or so of conception, most women are not even aware when this happens). Just mentioning this in case you have overlooked this if it's a factor here.

Also, you mentioned you are taking a lot of supplements and herbs. Make sure to go over them and that they do not interfere with your ovulation, hormones, and so on.

You are definitely right. We have not had an in depth semen test done yet but just the basic ones. They don't say what the levels are just that they are "normal". I did read an article that said today's normal is so much lower than what men in the past had. It's so crazy what modern life has done to people. He is taking a lot of supplements but it's hard getting him to give up the occasional vices
Good to see you back, Brea.

Yes, check with your partner, as was mentioned, the normal today is much lower. If he has some harmful vices such as what he is eating or any kind of drug or alcohol, that factors in. Many cases of infertility are on the males side. His Zinc level especially should be higher especially when trying to conceive.

Do you feel comfortable sharing his diet and or vices? If not, understandable.

Are you still taking a lot of herbs?

There are a few you mentioned early on that can actually induce a miscarriage if taken at too high of a dose and without due care, such as dong quai.

Same with Vit C, Brea you mentioned your partner takes 1000mg vit C but if you are too, you need to cut way back. Even 500mg can cause early miscarriage and/or prevent fertilization.
