Did I do it right?

Alright, for the dedication ritual I didn't have much to go with so I
did the best I could. I wrote the prayer down took a shower and got in
my good clothes. I had to say the prayer a bit quiet since my parents
were downstairs. I did luckily find a red candle my mom uses she has
loads of candles time to time.


So I made a small cut on my index finger but I could only write my
initials since I didn't have enoguh blood. However in prayer I said my
full name. I watched the contract burn however I couldn't keep the
candle lit for long cause my mom uses candles a lot and would me mad if
I wasted it. So when it was burned to a crisp I had to put it out and
back where I found it.

Is this alright?

Also I'd like to know how could I talk to father? Or does he have to
come to you?
