Whenever I start to want something really bad I feel the entire universe starts working against me from trying to get it... However if I lose interest on that thing,,,I tend to be successful... I have tested this over and over... Like the universe is playing a joke on me...! I get the feeling its something like "Hangups" But I dont understand hangups very well... Any suggestions?

The point when you say you give up could be that you are trying too hard. Of course, we must work hard, but overdoing it is not going to help very much. When trying, you might be putting attention into it, but have learned to be negative and doubtful with it; when having given up, or actually perhaps not but thinking you have given up, you would be more relaxed.

In Magick, we do the working properly, and then forget about it until the same, or a similar, time the next day - doing the working every single day, until 40 days has elapsed.

You might need to unlearn over-thinking and fretting, etc., or simply just try without them, calmly.
