Chakras?? confusion

Greetings,

When we breathe in energy or visualize a bright light over our chakras are we supposed to visualize the chakras in the centre of our body or the ones in our spine??

Only because I see pictures of the main chakras in the middle of the body yet the kundalini raises threw the chakras in the spine??

Also If you haven't got the best visualization skills, is there a certain way your supposed to visualize your chakras spinning (eg. if you can't see them with your 3rd eye I just visualise them)? I've been spinning mine like this (As I read off a post on here long time ago). Apparently this was because they work like gears?

7th Chakra - spinning to the right
6th Chakra - to the left
5th Chakra - to the right
Heart Chakra - left
3rd chakra - right
2nd chakra - left
base chakra - right

I personally don't know what other people do about this, but I visualize light in ALL 3 sets of chakras, spinal, front and middle.

The direction you visualize them, is the one that feels most comfortable to you. It can even be different from chakra to chakra. I myself spin ALL of my chakras counterclockwise, I tried to spin some of them clockwise but it doesn't feel very comfortable doing it.
