Ball of light meditation

When connecting the base to the crown do I pass the "ball" from me crown to my base back and forth? Or do I imagine a stream of energy from the perineum going up and down from my base to me crown back and forth? So is the energy going to be in the form of a BALL or STREAM (line)?

Like a pillar.

A direct pole or as you mentioned, a sraight stream that "pierce" the base and the crown.

The ball of light should be going straight up and down, up to the crown, and straight down to the base. Up and down.

You can also experiment with the ball when you are starting to get the grip for it.
