Lilith can be three things in astrology:
1. The Asteroid Lilith - It is a real asteroid that orbits the Sun. Some astrologers use it in interpretation, though any informations about its influences are unproven.
2. The Black Moon Lilith - The Moon moves in an eliptic orbit around the Earth. Elipses have two focal points, the Earth is one of them, the other is empty, this empty point is called the Black Moon and is commonly used by astrologers because it's been studied for a very long time.
3. The Dark Moon Lilith - Also known as Waldemath Black Moon, is a purposed second Moon that orbits the Earth. Very few astrologers use it, since it's existence has never been (and probably never will be) proven.
I take it you are asking about the most common, Black Moon Lilith. In this case, it's a point in your chart that tends to be connected with all things repressed, refused, neglected and rejected. Depending of its sign and house position (and aspects), it can tell where one may feel the urge to let go of things or, in the worst case, swallow everything up. It's also connected to arbitrary hatred towards something - it can be anything, usually connected to the planets it aspects.
The Ascendant Node, more commonly known as the North Node, but also known as the Dragon's Head, is one of the points (the other being its opposite, the South Node) where the Moon's orbit intersects with the Earth's ecliptic plane. They are very powerful points related to karma and one's life direction. They are the nodes of fate, so their house and sign positions, along with planetary aspects will dictate, directly or not, one's life path.
