Humorism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The above article explains the details of the theory really well. What is not readily apparent is, that it is a materialism view of human behavior, based on the endocrine system. But, they didn't know hardly anything about the endocrine system, so attributed everything to the pituitary gland and to blood. Methods of treatment like bloodletting, emetics and purges were aimed at expelling a harmful surplus of a humor. Other methods requiring the use of reason, used herbs and foods related to a particular humor to counter symptoms of disease. Paracelsus developed the idea that beneficial medical substances could be found in herbs, minerals and various alchemical combinations thereof. These beliefs were the foundation of mainstream Western medicine well into the 1800s. In conclusion then, Paracelsus proved alchemical solutions using basic Witchcraft worked, and the complexity of the endocrine system which was not fully researched until well into the mid to late 1900's both proved a need to carry certain ideas forward. Which ideas did the medical profession cling to the most, being primarily fascinated in bottles of gook? Well, of course the ideas of Humorism. Humorism is some materialistic scumbags attempt to write over the sacred spiritual knowledge contained in the well known and established system of nature spirits.

Hello, my dear Brothers and Sisters. I have heard recently that once, Aristotle had a theory according to which the human body functions with the help of four basic fluids: blood, yellow bile, black bile and phlegm. Also, he stated that each of these fluids has a corresponding element: blood corresponds to water, yellow bile to fire, black bile to earth and phlegm to air. Another intersting fact is the one that each fluid, hence each element corresponds to a feature of humans. Blood(water) corresponds to the sanguine ones, yellow bile(fire) to the cholerics, black bile(earth) to the apathics and phlegm(water), of course, to the phlegmatics. Aristotle said that the perfect human being has all these four fluids perfectly balanced. So, is this true? can we reach for the perfection of the human nature by just invoking the elements properly? I hope I didn't blasphemize or something, if so, I am very sorry and I apologize.
