I will be working in a job where I have to drink alcohol for about a year. This is the only way I can financially support myself. I am someone who meditates regularly. I have been meditating for 4 years and I care about spiritual development. I am not someone who normally drinks alcohol and I do not use any harmful substances. I have a connection with the Gods and I am ashamed of having fallen into this situation. What I want to ask you is, can I heal the damage of drinking alcohol for a year in the future?

I am not writing this as advice or as a imitation to any of my sisters and brothers. It is a situation that I am completely ashamed of and do not want to be in for a long time.

Even if you work as a waiter in a bar or serving drinks in a nightclub, no one can force you to drink alcohol if you don't want to.

If it's just wine tasting then that doesn't involve getting paralytic and will barely do anything. They usually spit it out anyway. Do not listen to insane Puritan scare mongering.

If you're an illegal moonshine taster for some cartel or something, that is different. Get out of that.
