Hi. Reason for those sacrifices were just a lack of knowledge. JoS is good and reliable source of information, don´t worry about that. About Demons being bad/evil, I just wanna say that they bring knowledge to those who seek it. They don´t want to hurt anyone, who´s honest, but help...
