greetings to everyone. i have attention deficit disorder. i have great difficulty concentrating. in my daily life, whether i’m listening to lessons at school or doing any kind of work at home, i constantly find myself lost in daydreams.:(
this is really a demoralising situation. because i can’t focus on my meditations. i can’t even manage to focus when doing void meditation.:(

up until now, everyone has told me to place more emphasis on void meditation. previously, someone else who had experienced my situation was told they had a deficiency in the earth element. i think i may have a deficiency or excess of the earth element within myself. what should i do about this?

This meditation helped me reduce my maladaptive daydreaming. It's very easy to do and also enjoyable. But it is recommended to ultimately to start living life, instead of living it inside your head. I am very socially isolated and if this is also the case for you maybe ask our Gods to find you a friend that you can hangout with if you are advanced enough. I am not the most suitable person to give advice regarding this. Other members will definitely help you more I just wanted to share this mediation.

Hope this helps.

Hail Zeus!

thank you for the meditation.🥰 i live alone and isolated. unfortunately, there are not many people to be friends with among the bigoted and ignorant muslims.:(

How's diet? What about your sleep? What about physical activity?

All 3 of these lifestyle factors are the foundation of attention, focus, and concentration.

Stress has an effect as well, if you suffer from chronic stress, meaning your stress levels are elevated the whole day for a long period of time. Like, at least 6 months. If that is the case, you have chronic stress, and it can affect those areas as well.

Not everyone has ADD/ADHD. In fact, together with ASD, it's one of the most overly diagnosed disorder. In some instances because medical professionals don't bother looking at your lifestyle over time before jumping to conclusions; in other instances, because people cheat their symptoms during assessments so they can get legal access to stimulant medication. Both careless behaviours are creating shortages of medication worldwide.

The second behaviour, the faking, is especially prevalent in countries where assessments are just a 1-hour conversation with a psychiatrist that is interested in box-ticking exercise, rather than doing their job. In reality, psychological and psychiatric disorders cannot be diagnosed in good faith like this, hoping the patient and their family are telling the truth. Observation over months and years is necessary. Even asking a parent to fill a form to confirm symptoms and experiences isn't really accurate. In a way, a rushed process is cheating on public health and both public and private funds.
