It's the same with being in the military, I can't have Satanism on my dog tags because the DoD doesn't recognize Satanism as a religion they say it doesn't conform to good order and discipline.

Most of those that were killed during the inquisition were not powerful satanists, most were Christians and were essentialy "sacrificed" to show that the "agents of Satan" could be defeated by the church. Others were accused and killed because the accusor simply didn't like tge person or wanted...
Thing is my unit is aware of my being satanic. I may not ever reach NCO because of that but I was tired of keeping it secret and left it out one day

I myself think of them more along the lines of a handicap, develop your natural tallents instead. Useing such a machine makes you weaker it's a crutch, then after you die andyou won't have the strength to do it on your own which would be a hinderance in the long run
