Wisdom Teeth - advice?

Greetings. Since I was 12 I had growth spurts in my wisdom teeth. Now one of them is starting to tear through my skin (my gum bled, but the tooth isn't showing and the bleeding stopped). It was slightly painful for 2 days, but now it stopped.

I must say I am pretty young for this, as doctors also told me. Should I get it removed surgically? I know it's necessary if it keeps pushing, but it's not even out of the skin now. I'm afraid they push me to do this to get paid. I also know that if I let it sit until it starts to break the gum it may mess with my teeth's alignment. Doctors told me it takes around a few months-a few years for wisdom teeth to grow completely, but they didn't tell me when I should take the surgery.

I don't want to take out a part of my body unnecessarily.

Also, a self entitled bitch told me that the more the tooth is into the gum, the more difficult the operation will be, and that if it isn't out of the gums yet then it will 100% get infected. Some "doctor" apparently told her this, and she "wishes for my best". I don't believe her but it's good to ask.

Only if it causes issues in your mouth or has potential for causing issues in the future. Medical professionals get paid regardless of what you do so keep your well-being in mind.

Well, I am not sure about that, and no doctor told me the straight answer. If they have any more grow spurts they may misalign my teeth, but then again, they may not grow again during my whole life, or only start again in a few years. That's why I asked for advice.

If you do not have any missing teeth, the probability of the teeth being misaligned is not very high. At least that's what the doctors say. I don't think you should touch your wisdom teeth. Let him act a little more according to his nature. If you see that there is a real problem, you go to the doctor again.

This was a very confusing and incorrect message due to my English. In short, as someone who has experienced dental problems, I recommend that you do not touch your wisdom teeth.

I did some research and apparently there is a probability that the wisdom teeth grow straight without complications, and that they should be left alone. I've read about people who kept all 4 of them and had no problems later on. Still, there are people who get them infected, impacted or overcrowded, and then surgery is necessary. I suppose the answer is custom to one's own mouth. So I think you're right on this one.

In other words, if there will be complications of any sort, have it removed when issues arise. Prematurely removing is an option, as well. Infections occur when complications are ignored for too long. So be aware of your situation and act accordingly.
