Will Partial square have effects

I plan to use Mercury in Aquarius for my personal goals.

But I might not be able to use the entire square, perhaps because I might be travelling.

So can I follow the square partially, like the number of reps each day or just use it as a normal mantra with a fixed number of reps(example 20 reps) which are same everyday and not changing like with the square

No. It won't work. The square should be executed as it is indicated.

As Hs666 said, a Square must be complete correctly with the right number of affirmations each day.
If you are not able to do such long squares (like myself), do a 40 days working using the mantra of the square, and a number of affirmations you are confortable with.
The effects may not be the same, since in the square there is numerology involved, but the energies correctly programmed will do their job.

Some mantras can also be used outside the square. But this never has the same effect as the square and it is difficult to serve a specific purpose, the energies can be dispersed. You will just absorb some of that planet's energy.
