This topic is about ancient Greek, but I'm sure many old languages may share a similar fate.

I researched on Google "origins of the name Helias." I already knew it was Greek, but I wanted to find out more about the etymology of the word.

However, the first results showed that Helias is... a jewish name. Not only that, but it means "My God is the lord/my God is yahweh."

And EVEN some sources that said the word is ancient Greek, they still gave it this meaning.

To say I am outraged would be an understatement. The problem is also the fact that people don't think for themselves, and especially if someone is a complete stranger to Greek, they would immediately take this information as valid. I can't blame them.

You can't trust anything from the Internet. (It has been proven before that articles from Wikipedia will be deleted and/or edited to fit a certain "narrative.")

How could anyone find good and solid information? Search at a library with the vast amount of censored information? Watch documentaries that have been directed by jews? (Because the ones that actually show the truth have been deleted from the whole world wide web)

I still remember the first time I searched the word "Hitler" on YouTube, and YouTube showed no suggestions under that name, as if no one had ever researched it before, as if it didn't even exist.

I'm sorry I digress. I just want to find a little bit of good, true information, and there is either nothing, or they have made the research so difficult, I give up on the way.

Not to mention that Ancient Greek has been painted as "useless" by the media so that Greek children hate their own linguistic and cultural roots.
The celtic languages like irish, gaelic and welsh are also dying. It's sad to see something so ancient and central to a culture's heritage phase out of existence.

This will be seen alot more in the globalized world. Even dialects will begin to disappear.
