Neptune rules my 8th house, and Neptune is Currently in my 8th house. I'm a bit concerned about this, because my chart ruler is also in my 8th house, and I was wondering what exactly could happen when Neptune conjuncts my chart ruler? Since Neptune is the ruler of my 8th house, and the 8th house rules death, its got me a bit worried about my near future. How should I go about protecting myself from anything bad with this sort of thing? And what should I expect from this conjunction? Neptune rules meditation, and the 8th is also the house of the occult, so I'm not sure what's going to happen. Either I'll start meditating and advance in the occult quite a bit, or this placement can cause death. Can anyone give me some advice?
I wouldn't call myself expert, but I know that won't cause death on its own. Death in astrology is seen through combining a number of things- not just looking at your transits and calling it a day. There's other stuff that goes into it, like the death axis flip in solar returns, even then as a Satanist you have the ability to avert the indications of these things if they show for these years.
The planet which I think Neptune would be going over in your chart, the actual indications for that alone are to do with injury as I'm sure you've seen. In my experience Neptune and Saturn are like the opposite of Jupiter which expands. Saturn reduces and Neptune has a similar 'dissolving' and undermining quality. What you have to remember here is the sign this is going through is a sign which Neptune is naturalised in, so this process is done on a basis which that planet is a bit more at ease than if it was in like a Earth sign or another random one.
For the 8th house, the ruler of the natal 8th house transiting within it is like the above, if anything it can moreso be positive, and more easily sublimated. Natal Neptune in the 8th house alone concerns deaths which are mysterious and have strange indications about them, the undermining planet undermines the affairs of the house it's in, it doesn't bring on death it actually seems to undermine it for the person. In transiting terms (without considering your ruler), this would more viably make it easier to AVOID things pertaining to the 8th house for that time because it is this evasive planet.
With your chart ruler also considered, this is a negative influence I've also experienced myself, but mine would be different from yours because of the ruler. The principle that the chart ruler ruling you, is the same though, and I will say that at this period you can become very weak in how you are, bedridden and otherwise not seeing people as much or being in a real dreamy state when you have to (maybe feeling overwhelmed? Depends on the person). Me personally I had a lot of strange aberrations and mental infatuations rise up, like neuroses about dumb or disgusting shit along with obsessing over glamorous, not useful or sensible stuff, but once again that may be related to me personally. I think for you it may relate to issues of identity. Look at the rulership of your chart ruler planet and apply those Neptunian themes to them, then articulate that around how it would affect your personal 1st house affairs. There was also heightened sensory experiences which was really good for opening-up and feeling energy type meditations.
I don't think you have anything to worry about. Just keep your aura strong (Algiz rune and protective affirmations) and focus on the positives of this and know that it can be easily sublimated into spiritual growth where it is. If you are still worried check into your predictive charts. You'll be alright brother/sister, Satan and our Guardian Gods protect us from these bad fated things, and direct us properly through them. We don't suffer or at least we get some important knowledge about ourselves in these ordeals.
