Would it be possible to use Eihwaz rune on the 19 of this month to start a working to build large amounts of muscle? Pluto is the higher octave of Mars and building muscle is technically a kind of transformation, so I'm assuming this should pan out decently?

Or should I wait for a more proper Mars date to start a working using the Thurisaz rune instead?
I have been weightlifting and calisthenics for almost 2 years now if that is relevant. Also, affirmation help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Using the Mars planetary mantra or doing a square when Mars enters Scorpio for the purpose of building muscle would be an ideal situation. Also other good times for this type of thing is when the Sun is in Aries (and also possibly Scorpio) as the Sun also rules the Muscles.

The runes can be used regardless of where the planets are but at least make sure to check where the Moon is and if it is waxing or waning. As for the Runes themselves, they represent and can replicate certain energies of the planets. I think for the purpose of building muscle you should use Uruz combined with Sowilo instead of Eihwaz and Thurisaz.

Eihwaz represents pluto-like energies and rules transformation but if your going for just building Muscle, you would most likely be better off by using Mars energies or Runes as Mars is the Natural Ruler of the 1st house and the Physical self. You can also use the Sun's energy for this type of working as well.

Thurisaz is also more of a Pluto related Rune due to how extreme and violent the energies are. If you don't have much experience with these then the best and safest way would be by combining Uruz and Sowilo (Mars and Sun runes) for Building muscle mass while using a good affirmation for such.

Pluto is like a hermaphroditic energy that both senses and changes. Together, this creates transformation, like when we meditate. Like the Kundalini, it is a creation brought by bringing yin and yang together.
Muscles and the power behind them is more represented by Mars, although any transformation is ruled by Pluto.

With Mars in Libra, you would not want to start anything pertaining to it now. Wait until it enters Scorpio and either do a Mars Square or start a working with Thurisaz.

You already know the affirmation, as you want to direct the energy to permanently grow your muscles. However, I would advise broadening this to muscular function in a general sense, so as to keep this balanced, in relation to your body. Modern body-building can reach unhealthy levels of pure growth, or a focus on just appearance, and so on.

The obvious violence of Thurisaz is what distinguishes it from Pluto, as Pluto is more subtle than Mars, which is what Thurisaz is actually more related to. Thurisaz is explosive, cutting, forceful, and shaped like an axe. These are all traditional aspects of Mars.

Uruz is also related to Mars, but with elements of endurance, it is also related to the operation of what Taurus represents (the propagation of patterns). You will notice some runes can represent different aspects of the same planet.
