Because historical organized institutional Christianity is not synonymous with the New Testament.

When the Nicene Church was formed, the Church combined the New Testament with Greco-Roman Paganism / Theology along with the Old Testament (which, while widely corrupted, still has large lingering remnants of Indo-European paganism within it, compared to the New Testament), which allowed great flexibility in making it a relatively socially functional religion despite the poisonous venom injected into the minds of Americans and Europeans slowly over time. Many Medieval Kings, for instance, could justify their grand conquests of the Turks and Arabs through comparison to Samson or David, or Beowulf or Odysseus, instead of acting like anti-life losers and whining about "Turning the Other Cheek".

However, the New Testament is literally indigestible poison that subverts the mind and the soul, and what ended up happening is that gradually, especially after the Protestant Reformation, Europeans and Americans began slowly carving away those spiritual healthy elements lurking within the religion and only feeding their population poison.

You can think of it like an apple; at its core is indigestible poison, the seeds have cyanide. But it was coated with digestible fruit. Europeans and Americans at the fruit as a whole as their whole diet, which led to some psychological and physiological damage, but it was still sustained by the fruit; but over time, Europeans and Americans chopped away the fruit part and now they are just eating cyanide seeds.

As that happened, America and Europe gradually lost its power and prestige in the world, the culmination being this contemporary "Woke" insanity. Everything you see with the Woke left today is Christianity par excellence.

The modus operandi of the Early Christians and Woke morons today is identical. This superstitious paranoia that the whole world is run by demons (literal and spiritual) and is in conspiracy to get them, their delusions of moral superiority and judgment evidenced by their lowly states in life and ignorance (because being poor in spirit and meek is morally better, the foolishness of man is the wisdom of God, etc.), preferring emotional experiences over logic and reason, delusional impotent power fantasies, a complete revulsion to their own biology as something "sinful" and "corrupt" that needs to be transformed, and the idea that some higher idea will destroy the world only to rebuild it into a perfect utopia without hierarchy.

When Woke people are complaining about Christians, they are actually complaining about the remaining nationalistic pagan elements. Christians aren't Christ-like enough for woke people.
