Lucifer & Satan the same entity?

Are Lucifer and Satan the same divine entity? Or just merely two names for the being? After reading H.P.B's The Secret Doctrine, I kinda got the idea that Lucifer represented the light and Satan represented the shadow aspect of this light. There was also a 3rd part to this Trinity kinda like the antithesis to the other guys version of the "Holy Trinity" The Father The Son & The Holy Ghost. I'm not really sure what this part is called tho...
Any thoughts on this?

Yes, they are the same entity. The Gods, especially the highest ones, rule over multiple areas of existence. That does not mean they are separate people.

In general, it is the enemy which seeks to create strange dichotomies of light and dark. In reality, there is only advancement and degeneration. Advancement requires both yin and yang to happen, but the enemy corrupts this, especially in regards to Satan, who is the furthest from any negative connotations normally found with "shadow aspects".
