Azazel's message about Ego Death

We talked to Azazel about the concept of Ego Death. Azazel says that killing the ego is a great disrespect that is transferred to others. What Azazel is talking about here is a form of ego killing that Buddhists and Christians do, in which they destroy their identity, emotions and desires and become like a piece of identityless stone. According to Azazel, a person who does not have an ego is a dead person.

In talking with Azazel, we realized that the true form of killing the ego, which is nothing like what the Buddhists and Christians do and is distorted by them, is an allegory of getting close to the god you are closest to and establishing a father-son relationship with him, truly loving your god and being a worthy follower for him.

I wouldn't really describe this as killing the ego at that point, nor would I say it is the only expression for this concept you are describing.

If the Ego is represented by the natal Sun, there are a variety of planetary aspects which can weaken or "split" the power of this, such as Saturn, Libra, Neptune, Uranus, etc. Having a father-son relationship, which sounds like a Sun-Saturn one, would be just one example where someone will restrict their ego (not kill), for the benefit of growth.

If we want to use the "Kill" word, then we must refert to the lower ego, a lower state of the ego, which makes humans "stupid".

We can advance, and purify our ego, by getting close to our Gods. But we don't literally kill it, but advancing it, just like our soul.
